Your Beauty did to me

Like a child running to the rain
Or the first time he ever rode a train.
The sweet dance that is unforgotten
And the moment I ever drawn with pen.
Maybe it sounds like my staged infancy,
But this is what your beauty did to me.

Maybe it’s like a seshuan rice in the evening
Topped with steamed prawn dumpling
It could be the secret adobo of Lola
Or her special palabok with extra tinapa.
It might seem to be I’m hungry,
But this is what your beauty did to me.

Then it could be the golden sunset view
And the walk at calm ocean blue.
Perhaps a trek at the olden verdant trails
Or simply watching sky and clouds sail.
A marvel of the world’s tranquility,
This is what your beauty did to me.

A silence that hushed my noise
A light that gave me poise
The hopes of morrows bring
And the comfort of the angel’s wing.
It reads a senseless flattery,
But truly this is what your beauty did to me.
